I just ordered 2 pair of 194's for the doors and an LED dome light set for a 2009 SE, so hopefully the delivery will beat the Christmas rush.

Question: Does anyone have experience installing the 194's for the backup lights. Does it just make it easier for other cars to notice you're in reverse.....or is there a noticable improvement for the amount of light created for the driver backing up??

I doubt I want to use such a bright LED on my license plates, so what would you recommend for a not so bright LED for my license?

Also so those 194 come in red? I was thinking of putting red on the door ones people can see it and not knock my door off on the side of the street. SF driver you know.

What is the difference between the 194 LED you sell and the below from ebay?

Maz - That's awesome! Installing LEDs in reverse lights is more of a cosmetic upgrade than a functional one in my honest opinion.

mysticz - As per your questions:

1) You can go with the standard 194 white LED bulbs.

2) Doors: You can go with these High Power 194 RED LED bulbs

PaulB-2006 T4R- What are the specs on the LED bulbs that are being sold on ebay? What sort of warranty do they come with (and how is it handled)? You really need to be careful with ebay LEDs as a good price doesn't necessarily equate to a good deal. Many of our customers (and forum members) have tried the ebay LED route only to end up spending more money in the long run on purchasing replacements.

My rear LED dome went out today and when I went to check it, I found this.

Should I just re-solder it or is it covered by the warranty?

Overall I changed all my interior lights including 4 doors, domes and map lights, also changed reverse, corner markers and license plate to Putco LED's which work and look great.

These will not work on the 2005 model as your vehicle uses different bulbs. We have helped members on here with your model upgrade their interior lights to LED. We can put together a kit for you if interested.
