Pressure monitor

Since putting my spare tire on yesterday, my pressure monitor light is lit. Is this because it is the spare? I have checked pressure manually...but it is still on. What gives?

Did you put the spare on because another tire was flat? If it's still in the car it could be reading that.

If it's not that, I don't know.

Probably because its only reading 4 of 5 sensors

Is the TPM light blinking or is it on constantly? Blinking means an error in the system like one of the 5 tires is not near the truck. Steady on means one of the 5 tires is low on air.

All 5 tires have the TPMS so keep that in mind.

Yea - the flat tire is in the hatch - never thought about that. The light is on solid. I guess once I get the tire replaced, It'll be ok.

Just make sure whoever replaces your tire doesn't remove your OEM stem valve. The assembly also holds the TPM transponder.

This is great to know. I did not even know there is a transponder in the valve assembly. Thanks for this info!!!
