pretensioner seat belts

Hi everyone! I hope someone can help? My wife wrecked our 03 the other day. She was t-boned on the passenger side and it brings me to tears because this 03 was in perfect shape Well vehicle will not pass TX. inspection because front passenger seat belt no longer works. Looks like pretensioner type. Question is can it be removed once it is activated? And where can replacement be purchased? Any help would be appreciated! Side note: no air bags deployed and no longer carries passengers. just gets my wife to work and back.

Is it still locked in place? I've seen some seatbelt that are so tight after deployment you could play them like a guitar string.

In addition to the seatbelt - You may have to replace the side sensor and quite possibly the BCM. Manufacturers have certain criteria on what has to be replaced when any part of the SRS system is deployed. Any body shop can show you the requirements from Toyota.
