Wow, congrats. Even if in 2008 the IS350 was offered with AWD (it wasn't), it was/is too small a car for me at 6'3" with 2 kids. With a manual boost controller, exhaust and a true drop in K+N my Laser went [email protected]. Not bad for a 15.0@93 stock car

Whoa!! Don't throw us (4th geners) in the same basket. I love my 4th gen, but I really like the 5th gen. I don't think the last version was better. Its just different. When the 4th gen came out, I hated it (I had a 3rd gen at the time). I eventually warmed up to it. When the 5th gen came out, I hated it. Now, I really like it. Most likely my next truck. Both trucks have different missions. The 4th catered to the more "main stream" buyer. The 5th doesn't. At the end of the day, they are bulletproof trucks that do their mission extremely well. Everything else is BS (subjective)

The Mustang GT needed 420hp to be able to finally beat the IS. I've embarrassed many of the previous V8 Mustangs! You may want to be very carful lining up against a slightly modded 335, it could be a very humbling experience.

Apparently you don't line up very much. Until Ford put over 400 hp in the GT (which they came late to the party) that little kitten was quicker. The M3 can almost hang, now that's funny. How quick do you think the new stock GT is, or how quick have you gone?

Since we are so far off subject anyways . Did anybody see the Lexus LFA on Top Gear last night on the History Channel.Great show! It did get spanked by Tanner's 600+ HP Ford Fiesta that pulls 0-60 in 2.2 seconds.

I own a "slightly modded" 335i (in my garage), and its a its about a 12.7-9ish car, but you guys are talking two totally different cars. Mine is a 4 door touring car and a mustang is an american muscle car.
The mustang might beat it in a 1/4 mile race, but in the real world of driving on the street its not even close to being a "drivers" car. Its rough all over and unrefined (as are all muscle cars) and I think would be miserable to drive more than 2 hours at a time. They list it as a lower 12 sec car but 95% of owners can even drive them into the 13's. I would venture to say that most people with a car capable of sub 12 sec can't drive it to that point, its more that just mashing down the gas when the car gets 2' sideways at 80 mph. I have buddies that have 8-9 sec big block turbo mustangs and they are fast - if they are running, but miserable to be in for more than a night cruise.
BUT Don't get me wrong if i was looking for a american muscle car i would get one, they are great for what they were built for. As a touring car not so much.
As for the IS350 - great car and a good comparison to the 335i. Probably a little more dependable than the 335i, but its still drives very "toyota ish" - which isn't a bad thing, its just the truth. The 335i is still more of a drivers car. All that being said when I get a new 4 door sports touring car it will be the IS350 or whatever is out in 2015.
To tie it back to 4Runners its like comparing a 4Runner to a Jeep Unlimited - the Jeep is great at one thing - off road, take that bugger on a long trip and its not so much fun, wobbles, tracks terrible, poor drivers vehicle, etc.

Yes the Mustang is a great American Muscle Car, but they are totally different machines. Also I have owned a sub 12 sec 1987 fox body coupe, fun but different still.

Yep I have read them too, check out the data and charts, pretty damn close across the board. The 2 M3 that I've data on were almost as fast but I pulled them both (me alone+ 1/2 tank 93), the next one may be faster.
For $32K/OTD it will sure puts a big fat smile on your face.
