Price Check on 2012 Limited

I got my 12 LE with toyota mats throughout, etched security windows, color coded door edge guards, nav, blah blah blah all the other stuff that comes with the LE for $40,750 OTD including all the taxes, doc fees and I got a 90 day temp tag.:wow2:

I own a 07 SR5 that had a MSRP of 33k. I bought it for 24k otd.

I was thinking of getting a new one BUT it looks like Toyota isn't giving discounts like this anymore????

Is it because it is a new model????

Is it possible to get a 5th gen for 24k-26k OTD?

Sorry to hijack thread but the prices they are going for seem outrageous.

To be honest I am no expert negotiator. I go in and know what I want to pay and I don't budge. So I guess I don't negotiate much. It is usually my way or no way.

For the 4runner, I knew I didn't want to pay the close to the prices of the new ones so I was shopping around for a used one but they were going for around 24k for 03-05 with 30-45k miles on it. Imo that is way to high for a used vehicle (I know they hold there value but still too high). The dealerships never said anything about new vehicles and I just figured they wouldn't come off the MSRP that much.

I then called another dealership (actually owned by same person as the other dealership). I asked if they had any used 4runners. He said no but I can give you a new one for 24k otd. I was there that same day and they also threw in leather seats for free. I didn't negotiate anything with that dealership. 4runner was new with zero miles. They actually had to transfer it from the other dealership that never offered me that deal lol.

I got my 05 SE with 20k miles plus a 10 year/100k warranty for $21,000 OTD in October of 2010. How are the 03-05's with 30-45k miles going for $24,000?! Mind boggled.
 
I picked up my 2012 Limited 4x4 with Nav and automatic running boards, floor mats, and cargo cross bars for $42,500 out the door.

Sticker was $44,500.

Got my new 4R two weeks ago...2012 Blizzard Pearl Limited 4X2 w/tan interior. Had 34 miles on the odometer. From the sticker:
Mfg suggested price 38,595.00
Optional Equip - Entune Display (0.00), Sliding Rear Cargo Deck (350.00), 50 state emissions (0.00), Limited Grade (0.00), Special Color (220.00), Delivery, Proc & Handling Fee (895.00)

Distributor Suggested Retail 40,060.00

Distributor (Gulf States Toyota) Installed Options - Mud Guards (109.00), Premium Carpet Mat Set (225.00), Ball Mt (60.00), Cargo Cross Bars (185.00), Alum Running Bds (649.00), VIP Sales Follow up (0.00), 3M Paint Protection Film (299.00), Vehicle Shield Pkg (379.00), Full Tank of Gas

Total Distributor Suggested Retail Price 41,966.00

I had the dealer add pinstriping (149) and window tint (229).

Total Price w/all options - 42,344.00

Total price I negotiated (excl TTL) was 38,839, so I paid about 8.3% below sticker. Not quite 10% but I was happy with the price...my dealer beat everyone else in the DFW area by several hundred bucks. I also got 2.9% financing for 48 mos. and got $13.5k for trading in a 2007 SR5 w/107K miles.

And I LOVE my new 4R...awesome vehicle!
 
Not being a PITA or anything, but to me and I'm no expert that seems high for a 4x2. I hope you prove me wrong......Glad you like it though
