Price for 2015 4x4 Limited

The TRD PRO is really lean on features.

It's below a TE with KDSS, premium interior, and sunroof, for example.

It's only claim to fame is a trick appearance package and a Bilstein/TRD suspension package that isn't an aggressive lift.

I disagree, it has heated softtex seats, upgraded entune with GPS, Heated mirrors, heated windscreen wipers that's not including all the TRD stuff. Yeah it doesn't have sunroof or KDSS. I think it's inbetween a trail premium and trail, not below a trail.

I give the KDSS system a lot of credit. 4Runners that don't have it feel squishy.

I gotta tell you, I'm so disgusted with Toyota right now for changing everything they did in the ride and interior(knobs, etc) why did they go so rugged? I've had 2 4Runners in 27yrs!!!! Loved them!!! 1987 and 1997 SR5's. I totally expected to walk in the door and drive out with another one and could not believe the rough ride and knobby dashboard controls! I hated it for the $$$$ and searched, searched, searched for a vehicle with a better ride. I've settled for a KIA Sorento which drives like its on air, but soooooo miss my 4Runner! I still have my '97(which I am selling). I drive it more than the KIA right now, but don't need 2 vehicles. I don't know if I'll get used to the Sorento, but I'm so pissed at Toyota for turning the 4Runner into a Tacoma/Tundra with a cap, that I had to try something else. If I wanted a truck, I'd BUY a truck! If anyone is interested in my '97, let me know. I also may be putting the original tires/rims back on it before I sell and sell the tires/rims in the pic separately.....View attachment 157214

Go buy a Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. All the bells and whistles and helluva lot more power and rides like its on air (cause it is). I would even say of you got it with 18's, or had a set to switch out, it is as capable or more than a 4Runner. I had mine everywhere. You better become real good friends with your jeep dealer though 'cause that ***** is a POS when it comes to reliability and maint. I had mine for 42 months and it was in the shop 37 times not including maintenance items.

Do I miss the power, and things like adaptive cruise, auto dimming side mirrors, and air ride, yes. Am I looking forward to many trouble free miles on my 4 runner, absolutely. That's why I got rid of the Jeep.

Reliability far out weighs having all those bells and whistles. Plus I bought a more trail oriented '00 Wrangler for the real ruff stuff to keep the 4runner more on a dirt/ fire road duty.

Before the trolls start if your TRD Pro or TE with KDSS is limited to mall and soccer practice duty please don't tell me how bad my limited is. As. I believe a BoF truck of any type is better in the long run over a Unibody any day.

Went and test drove a 4x4 limited yesterday and loved it. Dealer in ATL is offering 45476 out the door. This includes a lifetime powertrain warranty that seems pretty comprehensive. A different dealer is offering 4 years/45k of free maintenance instead of the lifetime warranty.

So, 2 questions I guess. Does the price sound fair and which is a better deal, the warranty or extended service?

2. 4/45k maint? um that 2 more oil changes correct? and the 1st two are free from Toyota anyway.

you pretty much paying sticker and the dealer is throwing in freebies (to him at least) to give you a warm fuzzy to justify sticker price.

Thanks for the quick response! This one has has the heated/cooled seats and the sliding tray.

I've done a ton of research and this site has been extremely helpful as I have never owned a 4x4 before, but love my camry and know how reliable Toyota's are.

don't be mislead by the cooled seats, no such thing in anything Toyota makes but a Lexus LS series car.

everything else is ventilated, big difference.

That's fine you think that, but KDSS just can't be the end all of features. It's a nice feature, I'll give you that. I don't have it on either of my 4Runners, and they have done everything I've asked them to do and more on and off road. I really like the suspension tuning of the TRDP, Even more than my 02' with brand new Soronan Steel 1.2 lift kit.

Are you really comparing a full size SUV with a Sorento? If you maybe wanted to NOT compare apples to oranges. . look at the Rav4 and not the 4Runner. Also I can promise you that the Runner is going to go places where the Sorento will get stuck :driving:

Another dealer just offered the exact same truck for 43K out the door. 45k of maintenance included.

Looks like I just bought my first 4runner. :hunter:

I beat it by $100 for my 2015 4runner limited w/ the blizzard pearl paint and 3rd row seating. Came with door edge guards, all weather mats (including trunk mat), no cargo cover, no carpeted floor mats, no power steps. I think the price was $42,030 + tax + title + etc...

with all the options I have listed in my sig, I got mine for 42.6 before the anniversary discount.

with an LE you should be able to get it down to 41.5k, which from what I have seen is a lot better than some are paying for TRD Pro.

Everything/3rd row seats/No power running boards.

But I bought mine through a military auto program in the UK, so of course the prices will be inflated.

$41,040 was the "invoice" they showed me (edmunds.com indicates it should be $40,556)
Dealer showed me they had $872 in holdback on it and another ~$400 in reserve for "keeping the dealership facility doors open"

Got it for $40,300 and got a *very* fair deal on the 2003 4Runner we traded in. Dealership is very good to work with and they're about 1 mile from the house so super convenient.

We're happy.

I would have been ecstatic if we could have bought a 2015 SR5 Premium without a sunroof, with the smart key system, with a power passenger side seat that adjusts *vertically*, and with the full time 4WD. But life isn't perfect.

At least our road bikes fit in the back upright with the front wheel off with a simple horizontal board and fork mounts WITHOUT taking the damn saddles off.
Explorers, Pilots, etc. - none of them could do that. Including the 2003 4th Gen 4Runner we had. And we couldn't move up to anything larger than a 4Runner due to the 1950's era garage size we have.

Happiness is finding a path through life's imperfect choices and not overly stressing the small stuff.
