Pro wheels and wheel spacers

For those of you running the TRD Pro wheels and wheel spacers (or wheel spacers in general) do you recommend them? I love the wheels on our Pro and I'd like to continue to run them for the foreseeable future with the 275's that are on there, but I feel like the stance isn't right for the vehicle with the lift so enter the prospect of wheel spacers.

I have a 1.5" Cornfed spacer which when combined with the 1" Pro lift that comes from the factory makes for a 2.5" lift over a standard 4Runner. I would assume that this would be enough clearance to keep from rubbing with the wheel spacers?

My biggest fear with wheel spacers is just the overall safety aspect with them. Do you upgrade the studs as well or are the Spidertrax wheel spacers good enough right out of the box? Do any of you regret running them? Is $150 for a new set a fair price?

I know that FN makes a Pro like wheel with a better back space and offset with a wider width, but I am not going to invest in those, they are hard to come by and if I spend money on new wheels I am going in a completely different direction altogether.

I found the spacers for $100.
In the end I went with FN wheels, I read that some tire shops will not be willing to work on your wheels if you have spacers on.

I've run spacers on pretty much all my vehicles and as long as you know how to follow directions, you will be fine.

My buddy has 275 K0's on TRD pro rims w/ spydertrax spacers and it brings the wheels flush with the fenders, so it looks good. He doesn't regret it.

If you do go the spacer route, remember to:

hand tight
don't over torque it
recheck the torque in a few miles
if your tires feel off/make noise or anything unusual....pull over ASAP.
Buy extended wheel nuts for peace of mind.
follow the directions to the TEE.

I like mine a lot but will re-assess after my new suspension and SSO bumper setup goes on. The rubbing with the Terra Grapplers was a little more than I thought. Just pulled my mud flaps and cut back the fender for now. I stuck to the torque procedure and checked it after a hundred miles or so and everything was fine.

I'll probably go to the FN wheels eventually but really do like the Pro wheels for now.

I bought a used set for $125. After lifting my truck with Bilstein 5100 I didn't rub. After I added spacers I started rubbing.

I have BFG 265

After a little trimming I'm no longer rub at full turn. Perhaps with 275's or 285's I will need to trim away some more plastic.

I would also suggest to make sure you torque the bolts and add loctite.
