Problem with stock cd changer

Hey all, I've got an 06 4runner sr5 with the stock multi-disc cd player.

Twice recently, I've started up my car, heard one or two beeps from the cd player, and then watched as the cd player ejected every cd it had. During this time, the display on the player is off. After all cd's have been ejected, the unit can be turned on and all the cd's can be reloaded. It basically operates fine at that point.

It should also be noted that I don't listen to cd's all that often. Both times that this happened, I'm almost positive that I wasn't using the cd player when I had last turned off the car.

Any ideas what might be happening here? I tried google but all the results came back with people describing problems with getting cd's to eject. Mine seems to be the only one that does this too willingly!

Mine does the same thing, only when it's really hot out though or it's been sitting in the sun. Sometimes the display gets scrambled if it's not completely blank, turning off the car and turning it back on fixes it. Also if you don't take out the first CD that is ejected it won't keep ejecting the rest (just a tip I learned). Thanks for the reply! Good to know I'm not the only one that has seen this.

I'll also keep in mind that leaving the disc there will stop it from spitting out more.

I definitely think this is heat-related now. Both times it happened were particularly hot days. I'll try a few things to see if I can help reduce the heat inside the car and prevent this from happening.

Hmmm.....hot days, huh?
Well, I'm in Toronto and it's been happening almost every day or so nowadays in the winter weather.
The screen goes haywire and the CD's get spewed out randomly and once, while I was driving, the whole deck went out. completely blacked out at night... The car and everything else was fine. Then after 30 minutes or so, it would turn on again. Any solutions? Thanks in advance.
