My BMW for starters. Maybe it's just the light color/temperature. Maybe I'm just a dope... They just don't seem as "illuminating." So, I'll spend a couple months getting used to them and see what I think in the fall.

It's Apples/Oranges. BMW uses HID bulbs in projectors with top quality lenses. 4R uses halogen bulbs in projectors with average quality lenses.

Thanks for the explanation and education. I'll take a look at the thread. I'm sure I won't notice the difference after I put the BMW away for the winter. If you have any suggestions on my being a dope, I'm all ears....
Mine makes the exact same noise. Doesn't bother me though.. kinda like it actually hahaMy 2014 SR5 makes two interesting noises.
One noise is when you push on the brake pedal. It's a soft sound, somewhere between a whistle, a whoosh, and a scrape. Occurs just when you begin to press the pedal and lasts maybe a second. The brakes are working fine.
The other noise I heard when I pulled up to the fuel pump and opened the gas tank cap. From inside the gas tank there was a continuous and rather loud rumble/rattle (the engine was on at that time). The tank was about a quarter full. I filled it up and the noise was gone when I pulled the nozzle out.
I'll poke around the brake pedal when I get a chance, maybe something is undergreasedand as to the gas tank, I'm not sure -- maybe it's some newfangled emission system working there?
Functionally everything works, no trouble lights, no leaks, no nothing.

hahah damn why'd you have to show me that! lol.. hyundai beat out toyota on that one... hopefully they'll fix it with firmware updates?
You are so right. Putting in the address is backwards and it can only be done when still. Other than that, the nav is ok, so it does have merit.

2014 Trail Premium, I don't like the way the brake pedal feels. When I press the brakes it feels like a quarter of the travel it is just mush, then they start to grab. A couple of times when I have had to brake rapidly, the vehicle stopped much quicker than I wanted and went into anti lock mode faster than I expected. Was also a grinding sound when it did that.
Dealer says the brakes are normal.
I guess I am just used to my 2008 FJ. That pedal is firm as soon as you step on it. Funny thing is if I do a quick pump on the brakes on the 4Runner the pedal firms up.

My old 2008 T4R and my '14 both brake the same way with the same "ooosh" sound when you press on the pedal.
My 2014 SR5 has a slight binding in the drivers power seat. Moving forwards or backwards the entire range, there is a point where a slight "bump" is felt. Nothing huge, but maybe something that can/should be fixed. I had my dealer work on it, and they thought they fixed it by repositioning a seatbelt mount. Nevertheless, it is back. They also said they checked a couple of other new 4Runners on their lot, and found others with the same symptom (although not all). Anybody else experience this?

First few 2 minor things I've noticed in my '14 LE. The passenger front door speaker is either blown or the housing is loose. Also in the last two days I've noticed the driver's seatbelt buckle is fairly stiff to press the release button. I will address those at my next oil change. Currently at 7200 miles.

Curious...you say "next" oil change. Your Toyota Care plan calls for 1st oil change at 10K. Did you pay the dealer for an oil change at 5K?

Toyota Care plan for late model 4 Runners does not call for oil change at 5K. You got a tire rotation at 5K. Your first change will be at 10K.
0W20 synthetic oil I used in these vehicles. The drain interval is 10K; not 5K.
