Stage 1 of the “Brah Lift” is done. 1st things 1st though. I have two people to thank. The first is TitanPat, the inspiration behind the “Brah Lift”. From his warm and loving welcome for me coming from the Jeep world, to his pension for the dramatic, Pattycakes, you are the wind beneath my wings!!!!!. The 2nd is Jason Demello. He really is a one man shop and works his ass of. His prices are fair and his work is excellent. Im very grateful for this forum because I would never have found him. Thanks Jason.
Now that the pleasantries are over. I really brought my Tom foolery over from the Jeep world and went with 20x12’s on this build. I went way outside the box what sane people choose, I know. To preface, if I wanted a hard core Rock crawler and off roader, I would have never have sold my Rubicon’s on 40’s/38’s. From the departure angles alone, the Yota is not a rock crawler. For me, the 4runner duties are carting 340lbs worth of dogs around daily, over landing (Go out to Area 51 and the desert) and a lot of snow driving. Since I do a lot of snow, I was going to go with Duratracs, but I have run either 38’s or 40’s Nitto Mud Grapplers on all my jeeps, and love the grapplers (They do great in the snow for a Mud Tire), so I went with them. Over all I am very pleased with how it came out.
