Finally got the projectors in after fussing with them and trimming some stuff up for a little while.

Decided to paint the shrouds black and then scuff them up a little for a different look

I'm a few steps away from doing this for two of my cars. Where'd you source your LS430s? I wanted to do it for the 4runner at least. Getting too used to the LED projectors on the Type R...

Hey man, didn’t even see you responded! Sorry about that.

I wanted the LS430’s but I opted for some cheaper ones through theretrofitsource. Got everything including bulbs, relays, shrouds and LED halos for $220. Pretty cheap in my eyes.

Turned it to be a few day project for me since I ran out of daylight and didn’t mount the shrouds correctly. But ultimately I’m SUPER happy with the results. Aimed them perfectly and love the rainbow effect in the cut off. Such a huge improvement with the HID bulbs. I went with 6000K to match my leds on the truck as well.

First picture was before I cleaned the headlights with a restoration kit. Makes a world of difference in clarity. And the second pic has a bunch of reflections. But I promise I’ll get better ones at night. Just wanted to upload something.

Looks good! I just picked up a set of spare oem lights to work on. I think I my try the g5r projectors with the brackets from lightwerkz

I used Butyl Rubber and then bought some gorilla sealant for extra protection. It’s a messy job when trying to get the lenses back together but it’s worth it.

These are identical to the Morimoto 7.0 but obviously a lot cheaper. Didn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on a 13 year old vehicle. Haha, these work great! Beautiful cut off lines and rainbow effects when you hit them just right.

They’re not indentical to the 7.0’s,those Acmes are based off the previous generation Mini H1 projectors. Still good performers especially for the price, I sure as hell wouldn’t spend $120 on the 7.0s...for that kind of money I’d rather retrofit a second pair of Acmes into the high beams or do some cutting and grinding and retrofit a NHK D2S type projector

It was. In fact, I still have more leftover. That stuff binds really easily to these headlights. So just one strip through the grooves of the headlights and I was good. No condensation or anything since. It’s been about 2 weeks
