Never had any issues with the 5100's. Also have them on my wifes 16 Trail. I will update after a week. Kinda curious to see if I can remove my front sway bar.

ICON REVIEW
I have had the Icon's on now for almost 2 months. I have to say it was a great upgrade. Doing some driving down a dirt road with some wash outs. I have to say they soak up the bumps nicely. My buddy hit me on the radio and asked where I was cause I left them behind. Didn't realize how fast I was going. I was just cruising along. Defiantly putting a full Icon setup on the 5th gen when I get the money.
In other news I picked up some Pionner speakers for black friday. I got 2 sets of 6.5's. Perfect fit in the front. Not so much for the rear. I have seen different sites saying 5.25". Others saying 4". For $10 for a set I can't complain.
Its snowing here so decided to take a picture.

My buddies want to go to some snow wheeling up on Cheyenne. I usually only drive it back and forth to work. Usually in the the 5th gen around town.
Been toying with the idea swapping around my wheels with the 5th gen. Will have to see what the trail wheels look like. I will have to make them black to keep the stromtrooper theme going.
Small update. I was in Poland for the past 2 months. Ordered some things here and there. Got some work to do before I head to GA for school.
Here is the break down:
-Set of OEM lights for retrofit
-Clear JDM corners
-@retrofitsource retrofit kit with Porsche Panamera shrouds, D2S projectors, 4300K bulbs.
-OEM scoop insert for new hood
-Blue sea fuse box and mounting bracket
-Steering bushing upgrade
-wire for CS44 alternator upgrade
-Need a new battery as well

Came across your thread cause of the Trooper in the title. Going with a similar star wars theme on mine, but calling mine Slave_1 after Boba Fett's ship cause of the dents and faded paint around the body.

nice build man, I also have a 4runner in dd metallic pearl. quick question, hhhow are moog tie rod ends holding up? i just ordered some but i went with oem ball joints.This showed up today. A day early!
Picked up brand new inner and outer tie rods. Project for this weekend.
I have no issues with the moog tie rods. Not to mention I got a solid deal on all 4. Used them on my previous 4runner as well. They haven't snapped on me yet, so I can't complain.
Made some more progress today with the retrofit. Got the Projectors installed and JB welded. Insisted by A.Wilson. Got them mounted and wired up. Here is a few teaser shoots for now. Still got to mount my blue sea fuse box to tidy up all of my wiring. Install the grill back and put on my JDM clear corners.

Got a chance to do my CS144 upgrade. Followed [MENTION=76419]Doc2012[/MENTION] instructions. Took a little effort to get that thing in place but finally got it. Got my front end back together and installed my JDM clear corners. Picked up a new battery. The red top was the best I could find in stock with 720cca.

Not sure. It fits in the groves just fine.

Corners are a small mod that make a big difference in appearance. Nice!
Agreed. Much cleaner look. Just flow better with the headlights.
