Project White Rhino Iroke's Monster

looking at some shocks with the 5 inch lift packs do i need 10" 12" or 14" long shocks?

also thoughts on shock hoops?

well i didn't take any pics but today i welded up anther 10-15 holes in the frame on the drivers side. I think i only have 5-10 on the drivers side, left passenger side has not as near as many since most are taped and im keeping those. Also figured out where the hitch is going to be sitting, and the brackets i got with the bar arnt going to work so im gonna have to make some mounts for it to bolt to. Found out i have Sunday off so i think im gona try and finish the drivers side holes and the rear corner of the passenger side and maybe get started on the fuel tank mounts or maybe the sliders

If you seal the frame off it will be more probe to rusting out. Condensation during temperature changes will kill that thing if it sealed. That's why they have the holes in the frame to begin with.

I was planing on coating the inside of frame with por15 and I'm not going to compleatly seal it just fill all the little holes

ok dose anyone have a set of sliders they bought from a company that makes them i want to get some measurements
im looking to see what distance they have from the first bar to the 2ed bar gap
also do they go from the wheel arch to the rear arch completely

also need some opinions on a design in the picture below what do you guys think of the slanted part? also considering a small step depending on how far they stick out already or not.

Ok getting ready to order my rear break kit and im getting the brackets and rotors from sky and it has the selections 79-85 axles and 86-newer axles for rotors since i have access to an 85 axle and an 86 axle what are the differences? so i can select and order my brakes

I think the flange size is different between the two axles. The rotor has to be machined to fit the axle flange.

need some quick advice im working on the sliders today
i want to make the sliders right up to the bottom of the body i want to cut the sheet metal thats under the body and weld the seam back togeather well whats left 1/5 of it is rusted out already any issues i might have with this?

Also i got 2" tubing and 1 1/2" tubing i realized i need another 2" tube to finish the passenger side but un till then i was thinking 2" front and back bar with 1 1/2" for the small tubes between them thoughts?
Also my biggest question would the 1 1/2" be fine to go from the sliders to the frame or should i use the 2" im planing on the tube running to a 4"x4" square plate that welds to the frame ???

Im planing on cutting and welding today so the quicker response the better.

outside long bar is 53"
with the angles you get a sizable gap that i just took a small bit from one of the angles to make plugs to fill

only thing left is to fill in the ends of the back bar and finish the passenger side! im extremely happy how they turned out

im going to make a diagram in paint with all the measurements so its easy for anyone who wants to replicate them. or if anyone is super interested i can make a set for someone.

Ok about to drop a couple hundred bucks on some fuel lines and need a question answered so i can order them all

ok on my fuel cell there is a feed and a return but on the truck stock there is 2 lines that return to the tank one comes from fuel rail and other one goes to canister so... what line goes to the back or do i need to combine them to feed into one line? i remembered when i dropped the tank one time i had them back wards and it make pressure in the tank so im not sure which line is considered the "return" line and then what do i do with other line?

Been a few weeks since i last updated ive been short on time and what i have been getting the mr2 back togeather and a few mods

as for the truck almost nothing changed since last the few up dates are as fallow
someone local posted up another set of rims for 100 bucks so i snagged them they will be getting the green powder coat

Started up on the center console surround again this is where i am as of now
just need to cut holes in the bottom plate weld it togeahter and paint it and assemble.
here is the build thread for this http://www.toyota-4runner.org/classic-t4rs/120237-steal-cover-radio-surround.html

On your stock fuel lines, there is only one return line. The one going to the canister is a FEED line--the vapors are going from the tank TO the charcoal canister. Therefore, you can't combine the lines.

there are 2 hard lines that run down the center of the truck and the main line that runs down the passenger side of frame that feeds fuel 3 lines total on the fuel cell there is only 1 feed and 1 return what do i do with the 3ed line.

A fuel cell isn't designed for emissions-equipped street cars, so if you want to keep the charcoal canister, you will need to add a fitting to the tank for it. Not sure how you do that to a fuel cell, though. That line is supposed to be in a high spot above the fuel level, where it grabs vapors, not raw fuel.
