Projector Headlight question

I have an 05 toyo 4runner (obviously) and as of now i have an HID kit installed in my headlights, they r 15000k, deep blue headlights. I was wondering if anyone knew if my HID's will melt the housing of k2 motor halo projectors. for some stupid reason the manufacture doesn't know.

What's the wattage? The temperature (color) of the bulbs doesn't have anything to do with how much heat they put out. Any chance you can find another '05 with stock lamps, turn the lights on side-by-side, give them a few minutes to heat up and stabilize and them measure the lens temperatures?

On a side note, can you even SEE at night with those 15,000K lamps? Above 5000K you begin losing useable light which is why on dark foggy or rainy nights, people with the higher temp lamps whine about poor visibility. Also, I'm surprised nobody has taken a baseball bat to your lights.

yea i can still see very easily. they r still bright, jus their deep deep blue. the output is 35w

Should be fine at 35w, since halogens are at 55w.

Heat is generally based on the power consumed by the lamps. If they're 35 watts, you're fine.
