i have read the lightwerkz write up sometime ago in detail, what i was asking was are there any projection headlight kits for a 4runner that don't require do it your self and mods, just ordered one that installs

Nope.

The kits that are the most easy are the mini H1's. They do not require much cutting of the original headlight, however you still need to remove stock headlight from vehicle and separate the lens from the housing. I am really pleased with the final outcome, they look great and have wonderful light output and a very nice color band!!!!

Philsey is correct, no plug and play units out at this time. My install of the mini's was not bad at all. I wouldn't be scared of it, plus worst case you just order another set of factories and chalk it up to a mod gone wrong
