Proud New Owner of a 1997 Limited 4Runner

Hey guys, I'd like to say that after lots and lots of searching I'm now the proud owner of a 1997 Limited 4runner! :party: She's a winner! :trophy:

She's at 178k but ran like a champ all day yesterday for me!

- brand new interior (except for carpet and back seats)
- aftermarket radio with 2 subs in a box with a 750w pioneer amp
- 17in wheels
- 265/75/16 tires with lots of tread left
- Brush guard
- fog lights mounted on the guard
- Small window tint on the driver and passengers windows


His asking price was originally $4500 but the timing belt needed to be changed and I asked if he could bring it down a little bit to help me out. Luckily, this guy was a super nice dude and without skipping a beat dropped it down $1000 to $3500! We had talked a lot and it didn't seem like he would be missing the $1000 to be honest.

Thanks everyone for all the help on sorting through the weeds so that I could find this beauty! I'm in love :D

Some little things on the exterior need to be cleaned up. This weekend I'll be cleaning along with hitting the emblems and plastic thing on the back bumper with plasti dip.

Nice truck...I'm sure you'll enjoy it more than you ever thought you would. But first order of business should be removing the sorority sticker from the back window!
 
Yeah nice truck i scored mine just last week its a 97 limited as well with sunroof v6 and 4wd has 252k miles but runs great got it for $2,200 in jonesboro ark. I will post up pics. The timming belts on these are pretty eazy to change i did it twice alrdy on my 99 taco i had the tensioner is what gave me the most trouble out of the whole job.

I wish mine was 4wd but my budget would't allow it mixed in with miles.

That's a killer price, bro! Definitely put some pictures up!
 
Seems like a nice buy if you can live with 2wd. But those gold emblems would have to go for me. I remember when it was a fad to get that done but I didn't like it then and it really looks outdated now, IMO. Seems like it was mostly Toyotas that I used to see that on too - mostly Camry's.

The way prices go on 4runners here I'll have to live with it for now. I'm still very happy about the purchase though!

Yeah, the gold just screams "cheap" to me..I plan on hitting those emblems with black plasti dip this weekend. I've seen lots of pictures and IMO black emblems on this color looks great.

Oh, I will! I loved my dad's and it was at over 230k and running like a champ..until it got smashed into and then a parked car blew up before it was fixed...My life :violin:

I like the sticker So Gay Just kidding. I'M A MAN and it's already off. Yeah, the wheels are all right..They'll get replaced but not yet. First comes the timing belt,tuneup, and new radio.
 
I am glad you found what you wanted Matt. I do like the rims as well as the Mr. T gold emblem package.

You also have the original Revo tires, which are 10x better than the Revo 2s I have presently on mine. Great snow and rain tire.
