May i ask what would make a guy take on such a huge move? Alaska is a bit different than the beaches of NC, but nonetheless beautiful country and ive always wanted to go there. Your runner is extremely nice and the pics are great too, count me in for the updates.

@ ripcord- thanks! I actually dropped and broke my camera in the badlands so I have a few days of cheesy iPhone pics. But Nikon was kind enough to send me a loaner so im good to go now.

@supra- they are rigid industries lights and I bought them from Teaka toys in wilmington NC.

Awesome pics, I look forward to what you take allong the way. June 2011 I made the drive Ogden UT, to OBX and back and Jan 2012 I moved/drove to North Pole AK. Some really nice sights along the way. I can't speak for the ferry but the drive is awesome.

If you make it to the Interior AK, bring the bug spray mosquitoes this year are horrible.
