puddle of fluid by right front tire??

6mo 2k mi, '08 SE, puddle of fluid by right front tire??

Went to the garage 1 morning and found a large puddle of black/gray fluid roughly the consistancy of mineral oil, looked underneath and can't see any signs of where it came from

1) not brake fluid
2) don't think its from AC
3) definitely not motor oil

If it's from x-reas shocks shouldn't there be some sign of leakage on the shock body? If there was could it have been washed off from driving, it rained a lot before I got under to check.

dealer says no sign of anything amiss but they sure didn't spend a lot of time investigating.

any way to evaluate these shocks?

Is the power steering fluid full? If it is then XREAS would be suspect.

You sure it isnt just condensation from the AC? Mine usually drips underneath close to the front passenger side tire.

yes, I hadn't considered that. p/s fluid does have the consistancy and color of the puddled fluid.

I just inspected the lines and connections, nothing is obvious as far as a track.

positive that it's not water, condensed or otherwise
