How did you get your venture with Black wheels? I ordered mine and the dealership says they would paint them for me.. the Gun Metal. IT sounded cheap and I am not sure I am going to do it.
So did you specifically request the black rims or it just happened?

Hi James, I was originally just going to go with the premium - dragged the wife to the dealership yesterday to look at them and she gravitated right towards the venture. She also liked the Nightshade, but that one’s a little too much $. I only had it on the highway for a few minutes and I didn’t notice any noise. That said, the rack looks fairly easy to remove, but it weighs 35 pounds and it’s size makes it a bit awkward so probably a 2 man/woman job. Do I like it? Well, I wouldn’t have ordered it, but it looks ok and it does add more luggage/cargo carrying capability so there’s that.
I was actually surprised that it had the black wheels from the TRD Pro as all, or most of the photos I could find online showed the gunmetal wheels. I read somewhere that Toyota ran out of the gunmetal so they started using the black, to our benefit. Just did a quick online search and they really aren’t too expensive

That said, when I got to the dealer to test drive it and I saw it had the black wheels, it was a wrap (snapped this pic and sent it to my wife). Maybe yours will come in with the black? Don’t know that I would want them to paint them.
