Our 2007 Camry keyless entry/push button start has the feature for the front seat passenger as well. The interior lights also come on as you approach the vehicle. My wife never really has to remove her key from her purse. The only issue is that she tends to leave her purse (and keys) in the car overnight in the garage. The fob is supposed to be removed from the vehicle when not in use to prevent fob battery drain.
