I've been there. Bobby is awesome. Go to High Tech with your truck needs! I got those tires too. I like them a lot. They feel a lot more planted in the ground, which i like.

Completely agree. I think the TG tires are one of my favorites, but it just sucks that Nitto doesn't recommend the 275/55 for 7" wheels.... It really leaves Limited owners in quite a bind to decide between (1) changing wheels to run them, (2) getting different 275/55s that are recommended to fit the skinny OEMs, or (3) just running them regardless of the manufacturer recommendation.

I picked up my 4Runner from Shrockworks today. Their bumper exposes the front shoes and I could not drive another mile with those skinny OEM tires. I went straight to Discount Tire had these exact Nitto 275/55R20's installed on my 2014 Unlimited. They definitely make a huge improvement.

Been a while since you originally posted the photos (looks great BTW!). I want to put those exact same size tires on my 2011 Limited 4runner and am wondering how your journey went with these larger sized tires on the stock 20" rims? Still not sure on the BFGs (most likely) vs. Nittos.

Manufacturer recommendation is 7.5" minimum wheel width.
I wouldn't run them on 7" personally, but you might be inclined to do so if your cousin's friend is an ASE Master Tech and gives it the thumbs up. This seems to be the case for everyone running this size.
I've also heard that staying at a Holiday Inn Express may alter the applicability of manufacturer recommendations as well.
Honestly, you're better off going to another wheel if you're keeping it long-term. I highly doubt the 6th gen 20" OEM wheels will be much more choice-friendly.
You can definitely recover a very good portion of the cost by selling your OEM 20" wheels. I got $750 for mine on Craigslist within about a week IIRC. I loved the look of them, just too narrow for choices and the offset to high for my taste.

I would like to hear from someone that has run these tires for at least 20K. While there has been lots of smoke from non users, those that have been running the tires for at least a full season.
