Putting on Toytech COs, need advise quick!

Getting ready to assemble and install Toytech coilovers and wondered about using grease/oil on threads & washers. I talked to an FJ owner who didn't use any lube on the threads or washers of the COs and now can't adjust them even with the weight off the suspension/wheels. Not sure there's a direct correlation there so I'm looking for advise from forum members.

Should I apply some type of lube to the threads on the adjusters and on the washers? If so, what kind?

I want to be able to fine tune the ride height after the springs settle. I also don't want to have the threads seize up in the future.

I don't have toytec, but right after installation, my Icon's were real tight until I put some WD40 on there after reading up on these forums about how to "loosen" them. It is important to also clean away any debris on the threads. Use a rag or shop towel before applying lubricant. Worked like a charm, but I don't know if this is the best option...

I would like to know what type of grease to put on there for the long term. I would think that WD40 will not last very long with dust and soapy water and whatever else gets on there...

I have Toytecs and I agree that soaking the threads with WD40 before adjusting is all you need. I just adjusted mine last weekend after letting the springs break in and sag. Get the front end in the air, remove the wheels and disconnect the sway bar for some room to work and you should be good to go. Some have recommended using a cheater bar like a high lift handle but it wasn't needed in my case.

Personally I'd avoid greasing them as to me that's just asking for a dirt/dust build up on the threads which could make adjustments really fun.
