Do you mean P.C.V valve?
Since it's such a cheap part change I'd change it at every oil change.
I was thinking about changing them every time I put gas in. Is that too often.
OP- replace it when it fails..
Let me guess, your "attempt" at trying to be funny.
Do what you want but I change mine at every oil change, which is once a year. $4 isn't going to break my pockets. I guess for certain lil V6 guys it might.
Our shop recommends it every 3yr or 36k. OEM cost at retail is about $8-12 for the valve. Ive never personally believed in the valve replacement, since i replaced it i dont see any performance difference.
Seriously? That often?
Obviously not having $ is my issue since I have a "lil" V6...
Couldn't you remove, spray some cleaner through it and check for operation?
It's a simple one way valve that usually only 'fails' when it clogs.
Now, why do you need to change this part every 36K miles?
How often should we replace this part? And what other parts involve in this circuit? TIA.
