Q: Yen is devalued but the price is not

The devaluation of the Yen only determines how much profit the company makes.

Closest to the truth here. We are still paying real US Dollars for our trucks. Mother Toyota will eat or profit from fluctuation but its not so black and white. Big Corps. like this deal mostly in credit through subsidiaries which greatly complicates the issue. My company exports to over 50 countries and trust me this is nowhere as easy to understand as one may think.

Just wonder why is the new car price not down while Yen has been devalued more than 15% since last fall?

As far as I known, 4Runner is made in Japan, right?

Now Yen has been devalued more than 50% and the fact that 4Runner is made in Japan, then why don't we see the proportional price adjustment on 4Runner?:bounce:
