Quadratec Q11000s Self Recovery Winch

Anyone know who makes the Quadratec winch? Anyone had any experience using one?

Price is comparable with the Smittybilt 8000 winch, of course both are less expensive than the Warn.

I had a Warn on my Jeep for 8 years and used it once and that is with going trailing in the Breckenridge area 4 different times, so I am looking for something that will do the job in a pinch but not something that is going to be used on a regular basis. Also looking at the synthetic rope to save some front end weight.

Probably going to get either a Shrockworks or ARB front bumper.

Pretty sure they're made in China. That's not to say its junk and don't buy one.

Sounds like you don't expect to use it all that much so maybe one of these would do you well, but when you need it, it's gotta work. A cover can help extend it's life, especially when running synthetic line.

As expected the American made models won out, but the others held their own better than expected.

Good luck on your decision. Wish I had the cash and the T4R had a mount for a 8274. A winch is worth it's weight in gold when you really need it, no matter the brand, as long as it works!
