Quality control on new 5th generation

I don't remember where I saw it, but I think the Toyota Canada site has the locking gas cap as an accessory

This would be an easy way to deal with the mast antenna as well. Just offer an auto retracting mast as an accessory. I wonder if they could offer a manual transmission kit. :wink2:

I've had retracting mast antenna in the past. Never again.

I have had them stick partway before but not in a Toyota. My 99 SR5 4Runner mast has worked w/o a hitch since new.

That's why I like the accessory ideal. You don't have to buy; I can.:surfer:

You sure your rattle isn't your sunglasses in the sunglass holder - someone else on here had that problem. Regarding the alignment, did you hit a curb or pothole?

that would be me! and, yes, I was about to suggest the same thing....

all in all, initial quality seems way above average...

poor choice of words on my part. More proper term would be cost and corner cutting when it came down to final details of this suv. For heaven sakes, forget the kdss, add all the other stuff i mentioned, and its $1000 tops!
