quandry on michelin tires for 03 low mileage 4runner

Should I put Michelin cross terrain suv or LTX M/S 2 on 2003 toyota 4runner -
29000 miles original Dunlops dry rot - wife's car, don't drive much, but on freeway frequently - live in Houston.

Also, does everyone think the extended tire warranty is a wast of money.

Have deal on cross terrain at 859 do from dealer, 889 from Discount vs 980 on LTX M/S 2 from discount and just want some advice.

I think the cross terrain is a great tire for mostly highway use. That was what Totota used fromm the factory on my friends 07 4runner. I never get the additional warrenty but that is just me. I also would put on a new spare tire and do 5 tire rotations.

Thanks for the advice. Leaning to the cross terrains for the money.
Came with dunlop grandtrek at20's which have held up fine, but like the michelin brand for another $60 or so. And not up for $1000 drive out on the m/s2 tires vs 860 on the cross terrains
