Question about bed liner spray

so my sliders are on their way. i ordered OPOR sliders and got them unpainted. i want to use a bedliner like texture on them for grip when used as a stepping aid. is the best method to buy the line-x stuff and roll it on(paint it on) or is there a good similar thing that's in a spray can? thanks!

^^^ That exactly what i used on my sliders. I sand them, then wiped them out with Acetone, then sprayed them with Rusteoleum self itching primer and then used the bedliner spray. here is the shots:

I originally did my sliders with a spray on bedliner (EZ-Liner?) that came off when it even got close to rocks on the trail. Less than a year later my sliders were rusty everywhere and pretty gross looking. Last month I took a wire wheel to them and redid them with roll/brush-on Duplicolor Bed Armor and they look pretty good. One of the reasons I went brush-on is that it's easy to touch them up without taking the sliders off the truck or masking everything off. Just use one of those foam wedge applicators to dab the liner onto the spots where it's worn. The only drawback I found with the Duplicolor is that it takes around 48 hours to fully dry and harden, so you have to be really careful about not using them as a step in that time like I did a couple times by accident. The bottle opener on the soles of Reef sandals will peel the liner right off if they aren't completely set...

Has anyone tried this stuff on the 5th Gen fender flares? Or any other painted surface for that matter?

I've got about 5 spray cans of black Plasti-Dip laying around from some stuff I was planning for my last car but I want to do something more durable. Also thought the texture might be kind of cool.

I used it on sections of my frame. Works very well. Highly recommend for cost and ease of repair.
