question about brakes rattling

so i went off roading.. got my crap all dirty n muddy.. So i pulled apart my front brakes to clean them out and re-grease them.. EVER since then.. my brakes rattle over little bumps in the road and when going from forward brake pressure to braking while backing up.. i get the "toyota click" sooo.. why after all that does it NOW do that? any tips? i used a lot of grease.. maybe even too much? so i'm gonna try using minimal grease andsee if that helps the pads settle into position so they don't move. What do you guys think?

Edit: yes its my brakes rattling.. when i depress them while going over the same bumps, its quiet.

Moral of the story: You don't take your brakes apart EVER unless you are replacing pads.

yea.. i didn't remove the spacers and the shims are in place...

My GS with Supra TT brakes (similar to ours) did the same thing.. and i even had replaced the shims n crap with a oem shim kit.. i'm thinking it's my application of grease(too much).. so i'm gonna clean it up, degrease them and the area, and put it back together with very minimal shim grease. and see if that solves it
