Question about DIY Body Lift with weld-on sliders

vertical 4x4 between the slider legs wont fit?

that may work but it doesnt sound very stable...any other ideas?

did you end up installing the BL yet? whered you jack up the car at?

No not yet, I had a ton of stuff I was doing, did install factory extended rear brake line, urethane rack bushing, modified tjm bumper and modified my exhaust, hopefully this next weekend I will get to the body lift done, has to be done before my addicted offroad bumper gets here.

I did not remount the sliders, but I did get some help on the install. I have a friend that runs an auto shop and just put the car on an alignment rack. It made the install (relatively) easy.

Can't imagine I would've been able to successfully install at home with just a couple floor jacks...

So I'm about to get a 1inch body lift and am debating whether or not I want to DIY this at home with a couple of friends.

The Toyota120 DIY seems to be the most detailed and recommended DIY out there for a body lift

In the DIY thread, when they're talking about lifting the chassis off of the frame...



So I have weld on sliders and I was wondering if anyone out there installed a body lift had weld-on sliders on their car at the time of the body lift install? And if so, where did you lift the chassis at?

I did that. It wasn't so bad. I just used a couple floor jacks and put some 4x4 wood between the sliders up to a 2x4 that contacted the body. Not really a big deal, honestly. You could probably just use some scrap wood and find something to go through the slider holes to give a place to lift the body.
