Question about door locks w/ ignition on/off

Hey all, had another question.

I noticed in other 3rd gens and my buddys tacoma(2000) when you turn the ignition to on it locks all the doors...when you turn it off it unlocks all the doors. Mine(2000) doesnt do this.

Is this a feature that can be turned on/off?

Not sure but every 3rd Gen I've had does that. If yours doesn't, I'd suspect something simple is at fault.

The auto locking is a programmable feature on the 3rd gen.
