Question about having 5 wheels and rotating them

So I have my 4 general at2 for about 10-15k miles. Originally I bought 4. Just recently, few days I got my 5th wheel. And it's currently on my tire carrier. Wondering if it's worth to rotate the 5 fifth wheel in at this point ? How do you properly rotate the 5th wheel on 4x4. Sorry for dumb question

I would avoid tossing it in since its new and others are worn.

So should I rotate them in ? Or simply just keep going ? I was told it was better or is better to rotate them every 3-5k. But I know I'm passed that. On the 4 original that I have. At the time I didn't have the carrier bumper. So I had no use for 5th tire.

it is good to include the spare tire in the rotation to get the spare tire worn also so you get an evenly worn set of 5 tires. also, unused tires do not last as long as used tires as they tend to develop cracks.

i always buy a set of five tires and rotate them every 5000 km. i use Fig. G in the link below:

Yes I understand. And I wish I did ordered it first time. So my concern is my 4 tires have 10-15k miles. And the new spar 0 lol. Is it worth it rotating in

The original 4 should have just minimal wear. I don't see a big problem in adding in the 5th tire… I'd be more concerned about changing the direction of rotation because I've been told not to do it.

I am using this method at 5000 mile intervals on my wifes GX470, were at 30,000 miles and no problems.

This was true in the long ago past. Maybe 20+ years ago. It's no longer a concern.

Having a 5 tire rotation plan helps you not have to buy a whole new set when one of them is destroyed when they are 50% worn. I suggest comparing the tread depth on your unused spare and rotate it in if it's within a couple 32nds of the others.

I refer you to the Michelin website. They made my tires, and they disagree.

I ran my previous set of Michelin Cross-Terrains for 90k on a five-wheel rotation. Obviously, each tire only went 72k, because they each got time as a spare.
