Our Xtreme HID conversion kits come with a relay harness for several reasons:
1) To ensure that the ballasts always get a constant 12V. Our harness will power the ballasts directly from the battery as opposed to from the OEM Headlamp wiring.
2) HIDs only operate on 35W however upon start up they do draw significantly more power than a standard halogen bulb. They can draw up to 17A per side. The wiring harness that comes with our product will ensure that you do not draw a higher current from your OEM headlamp harness than it was designed to provide. This harness will plug directly into your vehicle's OEM H11 headlamp harness via a proper H11 mating connector. This harness will literally be plug+play.
3) The ballasts used in our Xtreme kit are epoxy sealed to ensure that they are water tight. The ballasts are going to be exposed to elements while being in your engine bay. Moisture will damage a ballast and cause it to burn out. If a ballast is not epoxy sealed and water tight it will go out sooner than later.
4) The Xtreme HID conversion kits use Japanese bulbs and ballasts to ensure both the quality and durability of the product. We have been selling this product line for approximately 4 years so it is an established product line.
5) Our product comes with a one year warranty that covers both the bulbs and ballasts. XenonDepot has been selling lighting products since 2001 so you know that you are dealing with a legitimate company should you require any sort of aftersales service and/or support.
