Question about hub centric wheel spacers/adapters I haven't seen verified elsewhere

I've read a bunch of posts about hub centric spacers/adapters. On one of the threads it was stated that the rear axle was 1/2" narrower than the front axle. It was suggested on this post that one should get spacers that are 1/4" wider on the rear than the front to compensate for this.

Is this information correct? Is the stock track width in fact 1/2" narrower on the rear? Did Toyota already make another adjustment to compensate for this on the rear axle? If not, why did Toyota make the rear track 1/2" narrower than the front track?

Spidertrax only sells 1.25" adapters, but All-Pro sells 1.25" and 1.50" so I could buy the 1.25" for the front and 1.50" for the rear. Obviously I would just buy 1.25" for all four hubs if the rear isn't 1/2" narrower.

I know that in the grand scheme of things this is a very minor concern, but I would rather know for sure what I am doing before I make a purchase.

Yes the rear track width is narrower than the front. I'm sure there is a reason why they did that so i would do the same spacers front and rear.

My guess for the difference is maybe turning radius but i don't really know.
