Question about more Front Seat Room

2001 4runner, I'm 6'1" and the front seat seems like it should go back about 1 or 2 more inches. I don't suppose anyone makes any type of re-location brackets that re-position the seat 1 to 1.5" rearward.. I'm guessing liability, Liability, liability for producing such a product. Or should someone market this and make millions.

I know in the motorcycle industry you can get bar mounts to take your bars up & back or almost wherever you want... There are even engine relocation brackets for certain dirt bikes I've seen to improve handling.

Metal fab shops can make brackets for that. Pretty common in the import sport car realm.

I'm 6' and no issues. I've had 7 3rd Gen 4Runners, manuals & autos with no issues. Not even sure my seat is all the way back.

Jesus, no one is asking you guys if you fit in the damn truck.

I have never heard of a relocation bracket, though if you yank the seat I doubt it's that hard to redrill the mounting holes or just make a new bracket out of some flat bar or angle iron. If you pull the seat you may also see if something is jammed in the slider channel.

This is exactly what I did. I'm 6'5" and extended mine about 2 inches...the only downside is it can't go forward as far, but my fiance is tall enough to still drive it comfortably.

...just make a new bracket out of some flat bar or angle iron.

I had made some very flimsy brackets. Drove with them for a while and loved the extra leg room. But I took them out cuz I was worried about my safety (not only were they made from thin metal, I only had them on the front 2 mounting bolts... the back of the seat just kinda hanged there)

I'm a little over 6-3 and I could definitely use an extra inch or two of leg room. Mine's a 5-speed, which makes things a little worse.
