Question for people with Wheel Spacers

Hey Guys,

I got my All-Pro 1.5" Hub-Centric wheel spacers installed a few weeks back and I have been checking them out and just went out to wheel this weekend. So I get a fair amount of rubbing on the rear of the front wheels well when the wheels are turned a bit and slightly articulated. Has anyone else had this problem, and how did you go about solving it? If you need better descriptions or pics let me know.

What size tires? Have you done any trimming? Wheel spacers are great for adding clearance between the tire and uca but they make the tires rub on the front bumper and pinch weld depending on the size of tire. You need to do more trimming.

I'm running 285/75/16 and the front is perfect and the front bumper is trimmed well. Its hitting the pinch weld at the rear of the wheel well. So is this area able to be trimmed?

Correct. You can either hammer it down or grind it down. I've done both. Whatever is easiest for you is fine.

Also will rub with 99 talls and 32s with 17" toyota wheels and 1.25 spacers - mine.

1.5" would further push the tire into the pinch. Cut off the plastic and pound the pinch weld.

First off, is the avatar you currently have of a non lifted 4runner the vehicle in question? If so, that looks like it is stock ride height. 285/75s are really gonna rub without any lift.The 1.5" spacers aren't helping your situation at all.Most guys run 1.25" spacers with stock rims.Better look into buying a lift.

That pic is old but has a lift and also the 285's on it haha

But the new lift is on and I have LX 450 coils in back with ProComp ES9000 LC shocks and Billies up front so the lift is good.
