Question On 4runner For Sale

Hi, I recently found a 4runner for sale near me. It looks really clean, but can someone tell me what is on the underneath of the hood?

Looks like seller took the time to coat the engine plastics with trim restorer pretty good. That makes me look 2x as hard to diagnose what they're trying to cover up.

Stuff on hood could be as simple as dirt or splatter from something blowing up and leaving its mark. Won't know til you ask/touch.

Thanks for responding, I didn't know if it was a serious problem or if something just splattered. And yes it looks like they just cleaned it very good everywhere, so they might be trying to hide something.

So I guess I will have to ask them about it if I go look at it.
