Question on timing of 6th gen

Does anyone know what the expectations are for the 2013s?
Is it likely that 2013 will be the 6th gen now that this is the 3rd year of the 5th gen?

The 4th gen had a 7-year lifespan (2003-2009), with a mid-lifespan facelift in 2006. Maye 2013 will bring a facelift, but I doubt a complete redesign.

Still patiently waiting for a D4D-equipped 4runner...probably will be waiting forever!

What makes you think they're all of the sudden going to cut generation life cycles by more than 1/2?

I'm more interested on if there has been any rumblings about bringing a V8 to the 5th gen.

I think we'll be waiting a long time...which isn't a bad thing. I'll need that time to save up/justify the swap!

Thanks for the replies. Guess I was thinking of the last facelift mid life making those 3 and 4 years on look but not a whole new rebuild.
