Question regarding OEM parts on Ebay

Can someone explain why a dealership would have an Ebay account that sells items much cheaper than if you were to visit their parts department? In other words, if you went to the parts window and bought bushings, they would charge $50 per bushing. However, looking at their Ebay site, they list it for 20 or 30. Why??

More sales. They still make profit on parts, just less.

The amount of locals who will find out they can buy parts cheaper online will potentially reduce their numbers at the actual store, however, the larger internet audience base gives them more business.

Yes, they will have to move more parts to make the same money, but if they make a profit overall, that's good for business.

Usually businesses can project sales numbers based off of past sales, discounting parts accordingly. Now anyone who feels ripped off at any Toyota dealer will potentially google the part number, finding a cheaper price on a different dealership's online site.
