Just got a new 06 SE and there is some serious squeaking coming from the back seat on the right side. It's not from bumbs but more when I'm turning. Has anyone seen or heard of this???

If you do a search you will find that electrical tape on the rear seat hinge seems to do the trick.

There was a TSB requiring the tech to reposition the
striker by enlarging the bolt holes to allow for better alignment. (toyota cannot reccomend hitting it with a BFH). Instead of taping it, look to see how it fits into the slot on the seatback. It may only need to be adjusted a few mm up or down which can be done by a few medium taps with a heavy hammer. Adjust until it fits right in the middle of the seatback channel you should find the seat will close and release a lot easier once you'r done

I did this a few months ago and the seats are rattle free.

When was the TSB issued? I must admit that electrical tape was sort of a embarrassing fix.

I did the electrical tape trick. I can hardly tell its there. I must say it was a quick fix as opposed to a dealer trip.

If you read the TSB it is a pretty simple fix for someone to do themselves. All you need to do is widen one of the bolt holes on the striker to allow a little adjustability. Then just adjust it right. If you want to permanently fix this I don't think a trip to the dealer would be required to perform this TSB.
