questions about spark plug change

i recently did a spark plug change and just wanna check myself and the person who did it before me if the wires are done the right way as in wires going from pass to driver side.

What kind of NGKs? gap? have you replaced the fuel filter yet? any codes? torqued down correctly? Cleaned the MAF(What year runner)? Cleaned TB?

they said it was the exact ones that came in it. its a 98 4x4 v6 no codes. does have a new fuel filter and fuel pump checked the maf and tb when i had the intake off and looked clean

So, if it's the exact ones that came with it(From the factory I am assuming "they" are saying), then one side should be NGK and the other side should be Denso.

no i did ngk on both sides are they suppose to be two different spark plugs? gaps and everything?

No, all NGK or all Denso is fine. BKR5EKB-11 is the stock NGK and K16TR11 is the stock Denso. Both are double electrode and should be set to 1.1mm from the factory. I always check, and rarely adjust, with a wire type gapping tool.Don't use the blade type. The 11 at the end of both numbers refers to the 1.1mm gap.

I use NGK because I live 3 miles from a NAPA store and they have been great for 12 years and 143,000miles. I'd be perfectly happy using Denso if those were as easy for me to get to--the Stealer is 20 miles away.

ok another guy says the gap should be .044 should be the gap which one should it be? and how do u adjust it? i know u could make it bigger but u cant make it smaller.

.044 inches = 1.1176 millimeters, essentially the same thing. Pretty sure 1.1mm is the factory spec. You can close it up if you have to. The wire gap tool has a notch for bending the electrodes. Again, it's pretty rare you have to do that.

Don't forget it's a double electrode! I did my wires/plugs today. Someone used single electrode on one side... Before me.
