Questions on Arb Front bumber install 2010 TE

I have a 2010 TE with KDSS and am considering having a Arb front bumper/winch installed. AFter reading other posts to this subject on this site I wanted to ask others who have done a similar installation just a few more pointed questions.

1. With a bumper installation would you recommend a lift installation on the front and back or have a leveling kit installed on the front. I am assuming that the extra weight on the front will require something added to compensate for the added weight up front.

2. Besides the issues with the ABS front sensors, are there any other pitfalls I should consider? I worry a bit about having warranty issues with my local dealer. With KDSS are there other considerations I should be aware of when adding a lift.

3. Has anyone had a similar installation done by a dealer in the Arkansas, Oklahoma or Dallas Area? I am based out of Little Rock, but don't mind driving some distance to get the installation done correctly the first time by someone who has done it before.

4. I also would appreciate any feedback on others with a Arb front installed, likes dislikes etc. The Arb seems to wrap around and feit well on the 5th gens.

I have a ARB and Warn M8000 fitted to my 2010 TE. You can do the install yourself in about a day and you will have to cut the front bumper valance.

For item 1. I highly recommend a suspension upgrade to go with the bulbar and winch. The stock suspension will sag and you'll notice a more pronounced rake and handling will suffer.

Item 2. I installed an OME suspension kit on my rig. I spoke to ARB and they stated I would need to ratchet strap the KDSS cylinders in place. I did and installed the suspension kit with no issues. I disconnected the brake line bracket off of the UCA's and went to town. You'll have to remove the UCA's to get the existing coilovers out and new ones in.

Item 3. No experience in that region.

Item 4. I like it and it's stout. You'll notice it shake a bit as you drive along, did the same thing on the FJ Cruiser I had

I chose to go the ARB route on my suspeension as well. I have had it previously and loved it. Have had the ARB suspension on my 4 runner now for about three months and it is great.

With KDSS are there other considerations I should be aware of when adding a lift. Don't know where you bought your 4 runner but I have used Toyota of Dallas for my service and my installation. They installed my suspension and they will warrant the truck if they do the install of the equipment. Be sure and speak to Jacque at TRD PARTS 4 U Before taking it there for service. There is only one guy in the shop that knows what he is doing, and Jacque will hook you up with the right guy.

I have looked at the ARB and was seriously thinking of doing it, but after learning that there was cutting involved, I was thinking of going Shrockworks. I had ordered the Shrockworks bumper and then cancelled it and converted to their full skid system. I will probably go back and go with the ARB. I had a great experience with the ARB on my last truck.

Thanks for the feedback, it looks like it's a bit more than I realized. I have been worried about having a lift installed with KDSS.

One question for Wepps, where is the front bumper valance? The side wrap around part?

I never had to remove my UCA's to install my coils, and even the toyota repair manual doesnt have you do that. I did ratchet strap my KDSS and then disconnect it at the LCA to get enough clearance, way easier then messing with the UCA through bolt.
