Questions on Leveling Kit

Hello everyone, I am new to the site as I just got a 2013 Limited 4x4. I want to put a leveling kit on the truck, a bumper, as well as some decent tires and maybe some new wheels. I want to put a two inch leveling kit, maybe a lift kit, but I don't want to sacrifice too much of the ride if I can help it. My questions for you guys are:
At two inches, am I better off doing a leveling kit or a lift kit? If so, whose kits do you guys like the best? Is the ride effected a lot by the leveling kit?
Also, what size tires can I put on the truck and still keep the stock wheels?

I was looking at the Shrockworks bumpers and they look cool but I didn't see many other options besides ARB. Are there any other good fabricators that make decent bumpers?

Welcome! Congrats on the purchase.

You've got lots of searching to do to figure out exactly what you want to do with your new Runner. Lucky for you there are a ton of threads with lots of pics to give you some ideas. Check out the "Builds" sticky.

A simple spacer kit (Daystar or Toytec) will give you a subtle lift without losing the ltd. suspension. If your talking about a bumper you're going to need much more than that though to carry the weight. What's your plans for rubber? Sticking with the 20s? If so, check out the BFG All-Terrains. Few threads on her that will help you with size. If you're going to go back to 17" wheels, the sky's the limit with tires.

Most important, figure out how you plan on using your rig. Street, rock crawling or somewhere in-between.

Newf4R, do you really think I need more than a spacer kit? The Shrockwork bumper only weighs 135 pounds (without a winch of course). In terms of tire, I'm thinking about putting some Nitto Terra Grapplers on but I still haven't decided the size yet. What is the biggest tire I can stick on without having to adjust anything else? Since I live in Florida, I'm not going to be doing rock climbing but I will see some mud but I still want a quite and smooth ride.

If you put on a bumper, you really need to do more than level it. You need heavier front coils so that you won't get sag from bolting 150-300 pounds of gear (whether you choose to add a winch will add even more weight) to the front end of your truck.

Welcome, I also have a 2013 ltd. I plan on upgrading the tread at some point as well. I have searched the topic to death and there are many posts. Hopefully you are planning on purchasing new rims to go along with the new Nitto's. Otherwise you are pretty limited as the rim width on the OEM is very narrow. For 20" wheels it looks like most are going with a 275/55/20 size tire with a 20 x9" rim with -12mm offset and 4.5" backspacing. You may have to heat up the fender liner with a heat gun and remold it a little but nothing major.

If I am not mistaken, once you put new shocks on the factory XREAS is gone.

My best advice to you - STOP!

You are on the path to redo your suspension multiple times! As [MENTION=92049]LandCruiser[/MENTION] said, you need to do more than level it if you want to add a lot of weight to the front. Please take the time to read some suspension/build threads:

Ask some more questions, dig a little deeper before you start buying stuff.

I don't think your combination is going to yield a comfortable, competent feeling 4Runner on the street or the trail.
