If you go slow I'm sure you'll be fine. Its the spring/airbag that takes the load anyways.
My uncles Silverado once busted a rear shock on a fishing trip. It had to haul itself a couple hours offroad back to civilzation and then another couple hours on pavement and it did fine. With all our gear + 4wheeler it probably had 1000lbs in the back.

That looks like the right part to me. they should have the following torque specs. Torque: 98 N·m (999 kgf·cm, 72ft·lbf). Mine has XREAS so pics and details may not be to helpful.
If it's 37 miles to the nearest dealer, I would say tie the shock out of the way, leave the trailer, get a bolt, pick your trailer back up.
this made me think... does anyone have a trial spare parts kit? to compare, for my guns I have spare parts kits. what is in your truck spare parts kit? zipties, standard (universal) size bolts? what else?

Hatch Toyota came through! They are actually delivering the bolt to the trail head 75 miles from their dealership!

Brocks been quiet since lunchtime yesterday, hope he made out okay
When I was over at TacomaWorld they had something similar. There was a thread where you could sign up to be part of the "TacomaWorld support network" (or something like that) then if another member was traveling etc and they ran into any problems they could look through the list of peeps signed up to find the nearest forum member and see if they could help out. Nothing worse than being in unfamiliar territory and breaking down, always nice to have someone familiar with the area to help you out.

Thanks everyone! Made it back safe, and got a little wheeling time in!
Huge hats off too Hatch Toyota in Show Low, AZ. They did not have the bolt in stock, but wanted to make sure we got out and on our way safely. The GM Tim actually had his wife deliver to the trail head a new bolt PULLED OFF A NEW 4R! I cannot thank them enough. I gave his wife $20 for the bolt when she arrived (only cash I had, I am not sure that they were even charging me).
Big thank you to you guys for your help, and to those that offered to come out. It really makes me happy to see that this forum, much like a previous forum I was a big part of (Nasioc) is that close.
I will post some photos up in the offroad thread here in a moment. But in the meantime, here is something I hope to never see again....

Glad you made it out and unbelievable that they brought you out a new bolt off a 4Runner. Kudos to Hatch Toyota!
I was following along the drama on my phone last night. Going to throw an assortment of bolts in my tool bag now.
There shouldn't be any gap for that lower shock mount as it should come with spacers to prevent lateral movement. Might be what caused it to back out..... or you forgot to tighten it.
