Leave It In, Or Take It Out?

Just checked the stock ride heights, and found the rear to be roughly 2.25" higher than the front. If the 2:1 ratio is accurate for the effect of adding a front top out spacer, the 1.125" spacer will make it perfectly level. This will be fine initially, but I am concerned that the rear will sag in the future. Unless it is detrimental to the system, I would prefer to leave out the stock soft rubber spacer to reduce the gain in height. It appears to me that the stock spacer is indeed in the preload position. Leave it in, or take it out?

well i just placed my order for the older style (non easy ha) 2.5 / 2....... ill be sure to have lots of pics after witht the lift and new tires as well as all the other crap ive done...

It would seem to me there'd be a lot of popping and squeaking without the factory rubber isolator.

I haven't heard many complaints about 4th gen rear sag around here. It's not nearly the issue it was on the 3rd gens. Targeting a total lift of 1.8-2.0" in the front makes sense if you plan on 150lbs of gear all the time though.

Finished The Front Lift!

I survived the front spacer install with only a couple areas of hide missing from my paws. It will grow back. This process was not nearly as bad as I had psyched myself into thinking it would be. It took me roughly 7 hours total, broken down into three sessions.

The net result, after doing a test drive late last night to settle things in, is that the front is now .5" lower than the rear. This 1.125" spacer, which is advertised as 1.25", actually provides a 1.75" lift.

I wanted to drive it last night to see how the headlights point. I got flashed once, and do believe they are aimed slightly high. I need to go read up on how to tweak those things.

The steering wheel is still centered, and it does not pull or wander to either side. Do I still need to get an alignment?
