Quicksand 4th Gen Surf Truck

I decided to consolidate into one thread instead of responding in multiple threads

I've had it since new. I've been through different iterations of lift heights, tires and wheels. (the history is on my instagram if you're interested @n215xo) Always dreamed of desert tan and quicksand is ever better!

While I used to do some heavier trails (vids on instagram too) I decided to tone it down as this does daily driver duty and (real talk) spends a lot of time on the pavement looking for surf, driving to camp sites, taking the dog around, driving for work etc.

Here's the current status! Should have it back from paint next week!

Just picked up some 255/75/17 Duratracs from Discount Tire! Thanks Matt! Anyone have experience with these in the sand?

On my way home from work about an hour ago I had a TRD Quicksand Tacoma beside me at a traffic light and was admiring it, funny thing is
as I was checking out the Tacoma I noticed the driver was checking out my 4th Gen, that color looks great on your 4th Gen T4R!!

I might have to consider Quicksand if I ever totally re-paint mine!

Looks awesome man! I thought about what color I'd repaint if it came to it - I wanted to use one of the colors from 5th gen and I've always thought inferno red paint on a '07 Sport would look gorgeous. Especially with tint around it

Awesome looking 4Runner! I've been wanting to do the same exact thing on my 2008. I'm just tired of trying to maintain the black paint and it's starting to fade a little anyway. I've always been a fan of the quicksand and cement but I have tan interior so it would have to be quicksand to match in my opinion.

Same boat- I've had 3 black 4Runners and a black Tacoma over the last 17 years. Black is amazing when it's perfect but so hard to keep that way, especially when used as we use. I'm thinking QS should hide the dirt very well...by being the color of dirt

That is awesome. As with everyone else, if I had to repaint mine I'm not sure which I would go with. I do love the Salsa Red. Always have. But I think cement or that burnt orange color with anthracite and black bits.

Have you tried clay bar?

I've used a clay bar on it before but it's been a while since I've clayed it. Finding time is the hardest thing these days. Maybe this coming week I can get to it. QS should hide the dirt really well. There's a guy around here that has a QS tundra and he claims that it just always looks clean. My cement tundra actually hides dirt pretty good as well.
