I have a 2006 Limited with XREAS. It has a 1" spacer in the rear and a 1" thick spacer in the front. It has new Bridgeston Dueler AT RHS P265/65/18 tires and fresh alignment. It has 90K and has never been off road.
It seems to require regular input on the steering wheel to keep it going straight down the road, particularly on anything other than perfectly even and smooth pavement. BTW, this was occuring just the same prior to the lift and tires.
I got under it and watched as my wife turned the wheel back and forth. The tie rod ends looked solid. I can see slight movement of the rack at the bushings. Additionaly i've jacked it up and there is no play at any clock positon on the wheels. I found replacemtn bushings here:
Whiteline W13373 Steering - rack & pinion mount bushing
Has anyone replaced these bushings before? If so is it possible to do so without completely removing the rack? Anything else it might be besides the bushings?
