Rad mods: Wheels & Snow Tires edition

Picked up some new rims and tires in anticipation of actually getting some snow fall here in Colorado this year. :shrug:

MB V drive 17 x 8.5 matte black rims

Cooper Discoverer MS Studded 265/70 R17

Love the ride and solid feel of the rims and tires thus far.

Very cool. Are MBs a Discount Tires only thing? What did the tires and wheels end up costing? I'm thinking about getting my limited a similar set up, I have no confidence in the 20" limited wheels and yokohama "all seasons" the T4R came with for MN winters...

Yes I believe the MB V drive is an exclusive to Discount tire. Tires and Wheels were not too pricey especially for 5. Build up including prices available at Discount tire.com

THANKS! :thumb3: I am happy with them... I think they look great! If it wasn't going to snow this weekend, I would have cleaned up the truck / rims / tires a bit more before posting the pics...

You have some how accomplished a rugged and elegant look.

These are on of the few I like on the limited, close enough to the stock look and feel.

I was going for a tougher, more rugged look, but still keeping the truck looking good. I"ll get to the more "off-road" style eventually.

We are supposed to get some snow this weekend, but could really use a lot more than they are forecasting. :shrug:

When I slap on my Silver (wanted black but it was a clear out and I save $100) Inno Low-Down Cruiser box I should grab a couple snaps with the girl in winter fighting form featuring my studded Hakka 7 SUVs and gunmetal winter rims. Maybe this week/weekend since it looks warmer and sunny. Might not be washed though since we have real winter here the last few weeks!

Was that first shot from the QE2 after the snow storm the other week? So glad I missed the first snow of the year when everyone is remembering how to slow down and drive on the slippery stuff!
