Radiator ATF. In and Out lines

Hi,

Just installed new radiator and noticed the lines were reveres of what I had been seeing. Mine was hot ATF from tranny to driver side elbow, cooled ATF back to tranny from passenger side.

I called Spectra the radiator maker and they said no check valve either one works..it's just a tube inside. I blew air through both sides of my old one and no resistance either way.

Any radiator guys confirm one way or another? Although I was able to get through to a tech at Spectra who said what presented above. I ask as there has been a fair bit of discussion on the matter with answers both ways.

I do. Why would it matter?

The circuit I have is, based on the old install of a radiator for ATF line hose route:

Trans>In-Radiator-drivers side>Out Radiator passenger side > upper of vertically mounted B&M>out B&M lower> trans.

Weird... because neither radiator, old or new, specifies in or out. You'd think if it's a one way circuit it be clearly labeled. As I said I can easily blow air through both sides and out the other, no resistance.

I think aftermarket (non OEM) makers are assuming the installer of their radiator will follow the same setup set forth by Toyota. Does it really matter? Probably not. But I have never switched lines to see nor care to.
