Jensen VX7020, good value. Looks nice, had some trouble with navi software but otherwise worth the $399.

are you happy with this model?

i was going to pick one up they are selling for like 350 all in.. install kit, harness, brackets, back up camera, steering wheel control..

but also debating whether to pay up for the VX7022, which is basically the updated version of the Vx7020, which I think has an hdmi input.. idk.. for 100 more bucks..

after that its a pretty big price jump for a Alpine or Pioneer..

just trying to decide.. thanks..

Ottonavi.. Can't find a model number lol... Overall good unit, plug and play. Bluetooth is... Meh on it.

Clarion CX-505 installed today from Crutchfield. Very easy to install.

This is my next one. I have their CX501 from 2012 and love it, but since upgrading my phone to the new Galaxy, it doest play music well through the Bluetooth. Great brand and system otherwise

Kenwood and a BCT15x scanner fits.
Just need a couple connectors for the scanner antenna to AM/FM antenna hack and add trim, probably just stuff some black foam around the sides.
Even used the OEM mount bracket.
Had to trim the scanner face plate some.

Kenwood sounds about the same as the OEM stereo...new speakers would help, I bet.
Kenwood has the modern phone link features and other cool stuff.

Hoping I can use the front audio input jacks and run the scanner through the stereo...will see.

Was starting to feel like I still had an old 8-track player in there with the cassette player.

Just added a little Amazon Bluetooth dongle to the aux in line and now I can stream anything from my iPad. If I upgrade to a cellular iPad then maps will work too.

So annoying, the Subwoofer blew a few weeks ago. Why on earth would they make it so difficult to get to the subwoofer?

subspd : In post #108 what are the attachment units for the tablet that you are using and where did you purchase them?
Just what I have been looking for.
Thanks

Thank you for the info. Have you done any off-roading and if so do are the magnets trong enough to hold the tablet?

We just did in Kentucky and we hit a very rutted road and the mounts did perfectly. That's why I went with two didn't want any chance of the iPad coming loose.

Any one have the audio controls on there steerng wheel and does it still work is there anything special I would need to make it work

I've used the magic mounts for my phone for about two years now...won't ever use anything else. Holds like a champ and it literally is phenomenal for ease of taking on and off
